Threats on Life

Ironic that the founders of Lifeline Foundation Inc. are receiving threats on their lives.  From masked gunmen following their vehicle to strangers contacting the family's relatives to find their whereabouts.  SURREAL!  Just like in a mafia movie where a hit has been put out, only this time the targets are innocent good people whose only goal in life is to preserve it.  Jose Luis Gonzales and Candace Luis Schmidt do not deserve this so please support them by signing the petition on http://www.justiceforlifelinedirector.com/

Lifeline Foundation Inc. - Philippines

My experience with Lifeline Foundation has been a new experience altogether. I have to be honest, I don't usually volunteer my time or effort to help others. And it dawned on me that I'm a selfish person, only looking out for myself. I'm a work-in-progress trying to give more to others than to myself.  So volunteering for anything at all has been something that I've been longing to do for the past few years now. Even more so, since I've been in the motherland for quite some time seeing all the impoverished and the needy.

Ever since I met Lifeline Director Jose Luis Gonzales and the rest of the Lifeline Team, I knew this foundation had a worthy and noble cause. Actions speak louder than words and you know this man's actions are nothing but Godly and good!

I volunteered for the Lifeline Foundation Medical Mission in Cubao, Quezon City. No, I'm not a doctor, nurse, or have a medical background, but I was still able to lend my efforts. You could imagine how many people are seeking medical attention. So of course you'd need to keep it organized and peaceful as well, which is where I was able to help.

I saw so many things that I took for granted! Something as simple as Tylenol. Humbled me to think how lucky and blessed I really am. Therefore, ask yourself the next time you feel poor, unfortunate, or not as rich as you want to be, "Compared to who?"  Because I can tell you right now that EVERYONE I KNOW is richer and more fortunate than everyone I met that day who needed medical attention.

The day was a success. Hundreds of people received free medical and dental attention along with free medicine to help their respective ailment! All you could see and notice when they leave is the whites of their teeth from the waves of smiles they offer in thanks. Except for the kids who got a shot (they weren't too happy).  You can really feel the heartfelt gratitude!
